Covid-19 rent relief application now available

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – If you are behind on your rent because of the pandemic, the State of California may be able to help.

$2.6 billion dollars in Federal Aid has been assigned to help Californians who have been impacted by the Coronavirus.

The Cov-19 Tenant Relief Act Program will pay for 80% of past due rent payments from April of 2020 through March of 2021.

The property owners will need to agree to wave 20% of the unpaid rent.
