McKinleyville robbery is under investigation

McKinleyville, Ca. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that happened on Wednesday in McKinleyville.

Just after 7 o’clock in the evening, deputies were dispatched to the Hammond Trail parking lot near Letz Avenue, where they found a 34 year old male who had been robbed by two suspects.  The suspects pulled the victim from his car, pulled out a knife, beat the victim and stole his wallet.

Both suspects are described as white males. The first one is about 5′ 10″, medium build, and clean shaven.

The second one is about 5’5″, a small build, with a beard and mustache.

They were driving a white SUV with an Oregon license plate and an empty spare tire wheel mount.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
