Two men arrested for armed robbery in Garberville

GARBERVILLE, Ca. (KIEM)- Two men are in the Mendocino County Jail in connection with an armed robbery that happened last week in Garberville.

25 year old William Mattingly and 35 year old Wyatt Whitlow were both taken into custody on Saturday after a routine traffic stop in Ukiah. Sheriff’s Deputies found items in their home that were stolen from a home in Garberville.

During that robbery, Whitlow and Mattingly physically assaulted the victim and stole items from the victim’s safe.

Both men will be transported back to Humboldt County to face charges.
