DHHS will hold a vaccination clinic in Fortuna

FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM)- Humboldt County Public Health is hosting its first COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Fortuna this weekend.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, May 1 from 10 am to 2 pm at Fortuna High School.

The Humboldt County Public Health Department says that it may seem like there is a downtick in the number of people going to get vaccinated lately, but they hope that this will not be a long-term trend.

“We do not know exact numbers of who is going to be coming to the Fortuna clinic ,but what we do know is that we set our goal to be 200 and we have over 100 people registered already for this clinic,” said Lindsey Mendez, a member of the COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force.
