Governor supports wind turbine terminal in Humboldt County

SAMOA, Ca. (KIEM) – Governor Newsom’s new budget for the State includes $11 million dollars that will toward a proposed wind turbine terminal that would support the wind energy industry along the West Coast.

The proposed terminal would take up 168 acres between the Samoa Cookhouse and the site where the Nordic Aquafarms will be built.

The plan still has to go through the process of getting tribal, public, and regulatory agency approval.
