EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- The City of Eureka has announced it’s youth council internship program is getting ready to kick off.
The youth council program is designed to get teens more interested in city government by giving them real-world experience.
The teens will learn about local government while representing Eureka’s youth population, raising awareness on issues important to young people and provide input to the city council.
Four members will be selected to be a part of this program and they will participate in city council meetings.
Applications for this program are due June 14 at the Adorni Center in Eureka, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
