Crescent City Shooter Isreal Soria in Custody

MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. (KIEM)- A Crescent City man is now in the Humboldt County jail after firing multiple shots at a home and injuring someone inside.

21 year old, Isreal Nathaniel Soria has been charged with attempted murder.

Last night at 11 o’clock, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office got a report of multiple shots fired and a gunshot victim on the 1200 block of Chaparral Drive in McKinleyville.  When they arrived on the scene, they found a 23 year old, male victim.  

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Soria left the scene before then but was taken into custody later after deputies found him hiding in a yard nearby.

The case is still under investigation.
