Arcata Woman Drowns in Trinity River

WILLOW CREEK, Calif. (KIEM)- Yesterday around 6 pm, deputies were called out to the Kimtu Beach on the Trinity River.

A 22 year old woman from Arcata was swept under by the river’s current. When first responders arrived on the scene, they were able to retrieve the woman’s body from the river and perform CPR.
