Rex Bohn, District 1 Supervisor for Humboldt County, makes a controversial Facebook post

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM)- The highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19 is showing up in Humboldt, and we are noticing an increase in those infected.

Rex Bohn, District 1 Supervisor for Humboldt County, made a recent post on Facebook that is getting a lot of attention.

In his post, Bohn expressed how important it is to get vaccinated, saying the next few weeks are critical to the county, hoping that the vaccination rate increases by 20 percent.

“Since I have spoken out, people are telling me how disappointed they are in me, and I take that seriously. And I am sorry you are disappointed in me, but that’s not going to change the fact that I’m worried about you, about everybody in Humboldt County,” said Rex Bohn, Board of Supervisor.

Bohn also hinted at a mask mandate that may happen soon for Humboldt County for all indoor activities to prevent businesses from shutting down.
