Students Hold Protest

For a second time in recent months, frustrated students at Fortuna High School walked out of classes on February 7, 2022 in protest. The students tell us they have had enough and want school administrators to address incidents of sexual harassment and assault that they say have occurred on campus. 

Last fall, Fortuna High School students held a similar walkout over their concerns and were later joined by fellow students who expressed support by staging protests at other high schools in Humboldt County.
