High-Speed Chase

FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM) A high-speed chase unfolded along Highway 101 in Humboldt County. Police from multiple agencies pursuing a car that was reportedly involved in a shooting in Arcata earlier today. At one-point last night, February 21, 2022, the chase reached speeds of 115 miles an hour through the King Salmon area. The chase ended when spike strips were deployed in Fortuna. The driver and a passenger were taken into custody.
