Two boys arrested for bomb threat to Zane Middle School

Zane Middle School was under lockdown for nearly an hour on Tuesday according to Eureka Police.

Right before 9 a.m., Zane Middle told Eureka Police that they received a bomb threat and were going immediately into lockdown.

Eureka Police say they responded to the school campus and began investigating. They reportedly identified two boys who were behind the threats.

The 12- and 13-year-old boys were taken into custody and charged with making terrorist threats and conspiracy. They were booked into Juvenile Hall.

Police say there was no actual threats to the school and reopened campus around 9:30 a.m.

Zane Middle School said all students are safe.
