Woman arrested with stolen car in Ferndale, CHP seeking additional suspects

FERNDALE, CA. – A BMW for sale that was stolen in Eureka and used to flee officers is found in Ferndale.

Just before 4PM Monday, the seller was showing the car to a possible buyer on Humboldt Hill Vista Point.

When the man went to test drive it, he took off and fled south.

Santa Rosa area CHP says the grey BMW was spotted early Tuesday, and chased by Sonoma deputies who lost sight of it.

Wednesday morning, the car turned up back in Humboldt County.

A local District Attorney investigator saw and recognized the BMW, parked on the shoulder of Highway 101 near Fernbridge.

They stopped, and one suspect fled on foot.

CHP found a female suspect in the driver seat, 21-year-old Elsa Taylor, who was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Humboldt County Jail.

Investigation is continuing to identity additional suspects.
