Humboldt PG&E crews help restore power in wake of Hurricane Irma

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA – In the wake of Hurricane Irma, PG&E crews, including two crews from Humboldt, went into action to help restore power.

They landed in Florida on Friday and since then have been patrolling the West Palm Beach area, looking for downed power lines, toppled trees and other storm damage that caused power outages.

They traded in their blue trucks for white – using fifty fully-stocked “Florida Power and Light” trucks to repair or replace damaged infrastructure.

“That’s unbelievable and really appreciated,” said one West Palm resident, “That’s quite a distance to travel and we really appreciate everything that everyone is doing. These guys are great.”
