Humboldt State athletics has been running at a deficit for the past three years and now the football program is in jeopardy of being cut.

The community must raise $500,000 for the next five years to keep football at HSU and some community members feel victimized by Humboldt State administration to be forced to pay to keep a sport they love on the North Coast.

As of October 31st, the Humboldt State athletics web site shows just over $323,000 has been raised. The goal was to raise $500,000 by November 1st. We will keep you up to date on the situation and the future of athletics at HSU.
