Del Norte Supervisor, residents angry over television blackout

The list of people angry that our programs aren’t on Spectrum Cable is growing.

As we’ve told you, the cable giant is refusing to talk to us as we try to reach an agreement to get our local news, weather, sports and network programming to customers.

One of those sounding off is Del Norte County Supervisor, Roger Gitlin.

On Wednesday, he told us, “I and thousands of other Del Norte residents are deprived of quality programming over KIEM and KVIQ. No Super Bowl, no Winter Olympics, no local news.”

He added, “It is disappointing this condition continues to endure.”

We agree with him, but how do you feel about such a large cable company refusing to serve its customers? We’d like to hear your thoughts. You can call us at the station at (707) 443-3123.
