Del Norte County Supervisors recall efforts end for now

CRESCENT CITY – Recall efforts for Del Norte County Supervisors Rodger Gitlin and Bob Berkowitz have come to an end for now.

On Monday, the over 500 signatures needed to incite the recall for both supervisors was not met. Gitlin is relieved that the movement has died down. He told Redwood News in a statement:

It is gratifying to know the frivolous recall effort against me is in the rear-view mirror.  – District One Supervisor Rodger Gitlin

The last day to submit signatures for the recall efforts of District Two Supervisor Lori Cowan is Saturday. Gitlin thinks it is unlikely that the signature threshold for Cowan will be met.
