Community members rallied in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse this afternoon hoping to bring support for Measure “I” before next Tuesday’s election.

If passed, the measure would increase Eureka’s sales tax by 0.25% for 20 years to fund the local roads. Supporters of the measure say drivers will spend more on car maintenance due to the poor road conditions. They also are in favor of creating local jobs.
