Two arrested after assault in Loleta

LOLETA, Ca., (KIEM)- A 37 year old is booked on charges of battery, assault, and driving under the influence arrested during a traffic stop Friday.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies say, Rebecca Owen matches the description of a suspect involved in an assault in Loleta.

She was arrested during a traffic stop on Hawks Hill Road, after speeding down Copenhagen Road in Loleta at over 60 miles per hour. The call came in at 7:30 p.m. on November 3, after two victims reported an assault at a house on Carrol Road.

The two had been cleaning the property when they were confronted and allegedly assaulted by Owen. They both fled to a nearby gas station where they reached out for help. Owen, and her companion, 27-year-old Quintin Donahue, were both arrested later when their vehicle was stopped.

Donahue had outstanding warrants for vandalism, domestic violence, and DUI. A child was also in the vehicle at the time of the arrest. They’ve now been placed in safe custody.
