Winners announced in Yurok Tribe runoff election

KLAMATH, Ca (KIEM)- While Tuesday was election day, the Yurok Tribe needed an extra election to decide two winners.

For vice chairperson, Frankie Myers had 56 % and won by 126 votes. For the Orick District, the winner was Sherri Provolt who edged Laura White Woods by seven votes.

The election board will meet November 14 to certify the election results.
