Kindergartners call Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office over missing letter

SMITH RIVER, Ca. (KIEM) – This just in, kindergartners from Smith River Elementary School call the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office over a missing letter.

It happened at around 9 this morning. Law enforcement was escorted to Mrs. Lee’s class. They were trying to figure out why the letter “U” was missing on the writing board and the alphabet.

Sheriff Erik Apperson administered an oath and issued out some sticker badges, so everyone could work together to find where the letter “U” went.

Then, eventually they found several missing U’s in Mr. Jones’ 8th grade class. The Sheriff’s Office may never know who stole the letters, but everyone was happy they were found.
