State Invests Additional $40 Million for Last Chance Grade Project

DEL NORTE COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – California is making a huge investment on Highway 101, by funding millions of dollars into the Last Chance Grade project.

Caltrans and the California Transportation Commission announced that 40 million dollars in funding will help complete the project. Caltrans originally had 10 million dollars in partial funding. This now brings the permanent fix funding to 50 million dollars.

With the additional money, it will help with the development of the project.

Caltrans hopes to complete the project by 2039.
