McGuire Re-Named Chair of State’s Joint Committee on Fisheries & Aquaculture

Sacramento, Ca., (KIEM) Re-appointed as Chair of the State’s Joint Committee on Fisheries & Aquaculture.

North Coast Senator Mike McGuire will convene the 46th annual Zeke Grader Fisheries Forum at the State Capitol Thursday in Sacramento.

The forum will provide a state of the state of all fishery issues impacting the multi specie California fishing fleet.

The assembly will also focus on reducing the risk of whale and sea creature entanglement as well as aquaculture.

The agenda features presentations by state agency leaders, commercial and recreational fishing representatives, and aquaculture producers.

Senator McGuire has served this role since 2015.
