Local Agencies Meet with Measure Z Citizens Advisory Committee

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – First responders across the North Coast is asking the Measure Z Advisory Committee for more funding. It’s all so that they can get more updated and newer gear.

Measure Z is a half-cent sales tax which funds public safety and other essential services. In 2014, Humboldt County voted for Measure Z. During this last election voters renewed Measure Z. If any agency needs funding, they are required to apply.

Many first responders say that this measure is critical and provides stability.

The Measure Z Advisory Committee meets again next week on Thursday at the Humboldt County Courthouse.
