TRINIDAD (KIEM)- A man fishing at Luffenholtz Beach died Friday morning after he was swept off a rock by a wave and into the ocean.
The body of Andrew Machi was later recovered by a Coast Guard swimmer.
Machi, who is from Ione, California, was visiting the area with family and according to a family member, Friday was Machi’s 39th birthday.
A gofundme page has been established to help out the family including paying for funeral costs.
