Burglary suspect arrested in Blue Lake

BLUE LAKE (KIEM)- An alert Blue Lake resident and quick action by sheriff’s deputies results in one arrest.

Just before 7 Thursday morning, a citizen found a purse and items on the ground near the intersection of Second Avenue and H Street in Blue Lake. Deputies contacted the victim who also had her vehicle had been broken into overnight.

Deputies learned the victim’s credit card was used at a gas station on Blue Lake Boulevard and with surveillance video, identified the suspect as 38 year-old Jesse Allen Hanson. Deputies then learned Hanson was at another business on Casino Way. They located him and during a search of Hanson, he was in possession of a small amount of meth and a burglary tool.

Hanson was arrested on charges of burglary, theft by fraudulent means, possession of a burglary tool, possession of a narcotic controlled substance and violation of parole.
