BLUE LAKE (KIEM) – With Earth Day around the corner, students at Blue Lake Elementary took a trip to the Mad River to learn about the restoration efforts that are taking place in their community.
The Blue Lake Rancheria’s Environmental Department showed students just how water pollution affects where they live.
Students learned about restoration efforts and the negative impacts of pollution.
While at the river, the kids got a chance to even see some critters up close and personal.
In the next upcoming months, the Blue Lake Rancheria will be having several restoration projects.
