Two suspects arrested after officer seized a large of heroin

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – On Monday, an officer with EPD’s Community Safety Enhancement Team contacted 37-year-old Joshua Allen Repp (right} and 61-year-old John Paul Gilbert(left) in an alley on the 1600 Block of 4th street in Eureka. According to police Repp and Gilbert were in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia in plain view. During the booking process at the Humboldt County Jail, Repp was reportedly concealing 48 grams of heroin on his person.

Repp was booked for sales and distribution of heroin, knowingly bringing an illicit substance into a correctional facility and probation violations. Gilbert was book for public intoxication, possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
