APD and Valley West Community Watch Group Hosts First Ever Community Barbecue

ARCATA (KIEM) – The sun came out for a community barbecue at the Valley West Center.

The Valley West Community Watch Group is a newly formed group.

They partnered with APD and to have the first ever community barbecue. Police officers and residents shared smiles and good food.

APD Chief Brian Ahearn says, this community barbecue is an all effort to help bridge the gap between community and law enforcement.

This is the first community barbecue between APD and the Valley West Business Watch Group.
