Body of Missing Boater Found at Lake Earl

LAKE EARL, CA (KIEM) – The body of a missing boater was recovered Saturday at Lake Earl.

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office located the body of Natasha Steele from the lake. Members from the search and rescue team had been searching since Monday. 

Steele and Drew Wiseman were kayaking last Sunday. The kayak developed a leak and sank. The Sheriff’s Office said Wiseman was fighting the cold water and wind for hours. He was able to make back it to shore.

A coast guard helicopter along with other agencies also aided in the search.
