ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM)-Robin Guiver is off to his slowest start since becoming Humboldt’s manager in 2015. The pressure of winning at the Arcata Ballpark has clouded a short-handed club. The good news is Guiver will rely on his ace to back on track.  

Davonte Butler comes to the Crabs after his sophomore season at Cal State Bakersfield. So far with Humboldt, the right-hander has tossed 13 innings and allowed no earned runs and struck out 14 batters.

Butler told Redwood Sports he’s glad to be on the North Coast and enjoys the fans who turnout and support the home team.
