CHP Keeping Roads Safe This 4th of July With Maximum Enforcement Period

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) — This Independence Day weekend, California Highway Patrol is working to keep roadways safe with their maximum enforcement period. The enforcement period will begin at 6:01 pm on July 3^rd and go through 11:59 pm on Sunday July 7^th.

According to CHP, at least 18 people were killed in collisions on California roads during the same period last year. They also made 389 arrests for driving under the influence.
