EUREKA (KIEM) – One man is behind bars after he reportedly strikes another man with a wrench.
It happened Sunday afternoon, just after 1 P.M. on Myrtle Avenue.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a 22-year old male victim with non-life threatening head injuries.
The victim said, he was waiting for a friend when the suspect, 23-year old David Kevin McKenzie, Jr. Approached and struck him with a wrench.
Deputies learned that the suspect had been seen fleeing into a backyard of nearby residence. But they managed to locate the 23-year old who was hiding in bush.
McKenzie is booked on charges of felony of assault.
