EUREKA (KIEM)- This week is a very special time for zoos across the country to honor those who take care of the critters.

The third week of July every year is National Zookeeper Week, celebrated all across the country. Members at the Sequoia Park Zoo are being honored for their daily routine of keeping the animals safe and healthy.

Zookeepers love talking to visitors about the animals and encourage everyone to ask questions.

If we didn’t have these individuals, we wouldn’t have the zoo memories we have all come to love.
