Driver Loses Control of Vehicle on Highway 36, Ends Off Side of the Road

Highway 36, Ca. (KIEM) — California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire respond to a traffic collision on Highway 36 around mile marker 16 that resulted in a truck off the side of the road.

Shortly after 1:30 pm, the vehicle was traveling westbound when it traveled off the roadway and then collided with a mile marker on the right hand side of the road.

The driver then lost control as he was attempting to make a left turn and collided with a guardrail. He then continued into a tree where he came to rest.

No injuries were reported. Carlotta Fire and Cal Trans also responded to the scene to assist.
