Hoopa’s Sanderson closing in on another Hyrdoplane Championship

AGNESS, OR (KIEM)-Roger Sanderson is closing in on his fourth consecutive championship after winning for the fifth time this season on the Cal-Ore River Hydroplane circuit.

The Hoopa resident claimed “The Clash at Cougar Lane,” in Agness on Sunday along the wild & scenic part of the lower Rogue River.

It was the first race in Agness in 12-years as Sanderson took the checkered flag ahead of Hoopa’s Jude Hostler, followed by Cameron Kirkland, and veteran racer Mike Richardson, both of Grants Pass.

The next stop on the series is at Klamath Glen on August 17- 18.
