ARCATA, Ca (KIEM)-After a slow start last season, Arcata football improved each and every week and ended up winning the Little 4 Championship.

The Tigers know defending their league title won’t be an easy task. It all begins in practice as Arcata is two weeks away until its season opener.

Led by head coach Jamal Jones, the Tigers have a large group of returning seniors. There will be a battle for a number of positions including at quarterback. For right now, it’s all about everyone learning and giving it their all on the field.

The Tigers will start with back to back road games. On August 24, they’ll travel all the way to South Lake Tahoe for their season opener. Then for week two, it’s back on the coast with a match-up at st. Bernard’s.
