Man Arrested After Police Find Drugs and Firearm in Vehicle

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — A man is arrested after Eureka Police find drugs and a firearm in his vehicle after a traffic stop. EPD patrol officers conducted the stop at the intersection of Hodgson and Ingley Streets. The driver, 61-year-old Albert Boone, was on active county probation.

EPD K-9 Max searched the vehicle and located 1.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and nearly 2 ounces of heroin. A firearm was also located inside of the vehicle.

Boone was taken into custody and booked for possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and possession of methamphetamine.
