Locals learn about Humboldt life in 1800s

FORT HUMBOLDT, Ca (KIEM) – Soldiers march, set up tents, and learn about Humboldt County in the 1850s at Fort Humboldt State Historic Park. 

Participants had to line up in columns and experience what it was like to be a soldier in the 1800s. They marched left, right, left, right one by one. They had to set up a tent with three sticks, rope, and stakes.

 All of these games and exercises are to remember how much history is in Fort Humboldt.
