Eureka City Council to Hold Special Closed Session Meeting on City Manager Candidates

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — The eureka city council’s search for a new city manager continues Tuesday night at a special closed session meeting.

At the meeting, the city council plans to meet with the recruiter and select the top candidates. Potential candidates will then be interviewed by both the council and a group of hand-picked community members. Those interviews are expected to happen in early October.

Greg sparks announced his retirement in July, and the recruitment period recently closed at the end of August. The city also hopes to hold a public meeting for residents to ask candidates questions. That is scheduled for October 11th at the Wharfinger Building.
