Eureka Names Dean Lotter New City Manager

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — The City of Eureka announces their selection for a new city manager. Dean Lotter of New Brighton, Minnesota was chosen to take on the position. He was one of five final candidates.

Lotter is coming to eureka with 23 years of experience and knowledge as a city manager in New Brighton, Minnesota. During his time there, he has been responsible for overseeing a $16.8-million general fund and $10-million in utility funds. He has also worked as a city administrator for Minnestrista and Janesville, Minnesota.

Final approval of Lotter’s employment agreement will be at the November 5th council meeting. Lotter will start with the city upon Greg Sparks’ retirement at the end of the year.
