College of the Redwoods Expands College Access Program, Students Can Receive Degree For Free

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM)– First time students at College of the Redwoods can now get a two-year degree for free.

CR has expanded the college access program, which waves enrollment fees for first time, full-time students into a second consecutive year.

The expansion means that full time students can receive a two-year associate’s degree for free.

CR offers a variety of funding available to students. The college says in 2018, 95-percent of students who filled out the FAFSA or Dream Act application attended the college tuition free through waivers, grants and scholarships.

Students can request a refund if they are eligible for a second year of the cap program but already paid tuition fees.
