Shelter Cove Celebrates Water Tank Restorations

SHELTER COVE, Ca.(KIEM)– Shelter Cove residents are celebrating the completion of the new and improved water tank.

Humboldt County Supervisor, Estelle Fennell joined shelter cove residents, project developers, and representatives of the California Water Quality Board in dedicating the community’s new $1,000,000 gallon Kennedy Water Tank.

During the two year construction phase, shelter cove’s seven aging tanks were replaced with six new welded steel tanks with the capacity to hold between 30,000 and 1,000,000 gallons of water.

LACO Associates of Eureka provided site design, construction management, grant assistance and civil engineering services for the four-year project.
