9th Annual Community Cleanup Sponsored by Eureka High Wrestling Team

            The Eureka High Schools Wrestling team was out and about this morning for their 9th annual community clean-up.

            Wrestlers, coaches and parents were all out picking up trash and litter around the city of Eureka fundraising for their high school programs and to give back to the community.

            Wrestlers were asked to find their own sponsors.

Parents, grandparents, companies and a lot of corporate businesses chipped in to support the cause.

            The team averages over 3500 pounds of trash every year.

            Humboldt Recology gives the team free dumping, and ace hardware contributes to the cause with free gloves and trash bags.
