Office of Education Offers Literacy Training

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Office of Education is offering training for individuals interested in supporting students in reading and math.

Community members can become an Early Literacy Volunteer on Thursday, Nov. 12 to help children in grades K-2.

No prior experience is necessary, and all materials and information will be provided at the training.

Standard background checks, including fingerprinting are required. All costs are covered through the program.

The training will take place at the Humboldt County Office of Education in Eureka.
