Woman Caught Stealing Merchandise

MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca. (KIEM) – A woman is in custody for stealing $150 worth of merchandise.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s responded to reports of a robbery around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3 on the 1500 block of Anna Sparks Way.

The suspect, 22-year-old Sweet Molly Joann Adkins, attempted to leave the business with stolen merchandise.

An employee confronted Adkins, and she reportedly brandished a folding pocket knife.

She threatened to injure the employee, and fled the scene in a vehicle.

An Arcata Police Officer spotted the vehicle, and followed it into the Eureka area.

Sheriff’s deputies conducted a felony traffic stop and located the stolen merchandise and pocket knife.
