Eureka card shop owner fires gun after attempted robbery

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-A store owner fights back after a man tries to rob a Eureka card shop.

Just after 4:30 pm Tuesday, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office responded to a reported armed robbery at the Sports Cards and More located on the 1600 block of Myrtle Avenue.

The store owner told Redwood News he was with a female customer when a man wearing a mask came into the store and demanded money. A struggle then ensued between the two men and the girl said the man had a gun.

The suspect fled out the door without getting any money and the owner fired a warning shot. The store owner believes the woman is connected to the suspect.
