Yurok Vice-Chairman in Washington D.C.

Washington D.C. (KIEM)-The Yurok Vice- Chairman is going to Washington D.C. to testify before Congress.

Frankie Myers will be testifying before the U.S. House of Representatives Natural Resource Committee on Waters, Oceans, and Wildlife. The tribe supports H.R. 5548, the Fishery Failures: Urgently Needed Disaster Declarations Act.

H.R. 5548 is led by California’s Democratic Representative Jared Huffman and seeks to improve the fishery resource disaster relief program of the national marine fisheries service. The Yurok Vice Chairman will testify before the House Tuesday morning at 10.
