TRINIDAD, Ca. (KIEM) – Runners take your mark, set and go. The Trinidad to Clam Beach Run had participants heading along the coast starting north of Trinidad, goes through a little river and ends at Clam Beach.

The Trinidad to Clam Beach run offers three different races to chose from and never disappoints. There was great weather for the participants with lots of smiles that made for one super Saturday.

The event is hosted by the Greater Trinidad Chamber of Commerce, which raises money to fund other events in town like the Trinidad Fish Festival, Blessing of the Fleet and The Taste of Trinidad. The biggest contribution goes to the higher education scholarship for the Trinidad and Big Lagoon School alumni.

At the finish line, was a huge bonfire to warm those chilly feet and a hot bowl of chili with all the helpings. Humboldt State University’s Marching Lumberjacks were waiting at the end to cheer runners on.
