Governor Newsom’s Executive Action Helps Homeless

LOS ANGELES, Ca. (KIEM) – Governor Gavin Newsom took steps to help the homeless in California today. Governor Gavin Newsom’s executive action to homelessness deployed resource directly to local communities.

In L.A. ten state-owned trailers were set up on vacant land that now are homes for families with children. The Governor announced that 266 state owned properties would now be available to cities to house the homeless, and released $650 million dollars in state emergency homeless aid.

Governor Newsom has proposed a budget of one billion dollars to tackle homelessness in California.
